The NSW Department of Education Student behaviour policy requires all schools to develop a School behaviour support and management plan (SBSMP) ready for implementation by Term 1 2025. The SBSMP outlines a strategic, whole-school approach that supports all students to achieve high expectations for behaviour in line with the Behaviour code for students.
The plan focuses on prevention, early intervention, targeted and individual interventions and outlines the effective strategies Moama Public School will use to identify, prevent and respond to disruptive student behaviours, including bullying and cyber-bullying, and other behaviours of concern. The practices and strategies outlined in the SBSMP will be embedded into day-to-day school operations.
The SBSMP will be reviewed annually to ensure it continues to be fit for purpose and throughout this process the school will engage the school community for feedback.
