Our extra-curricular highlights and special days that we celebrate throughout the year
Public speaking and Spelling Bee
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local events.
All students 3-6 have the opportunity to enter the NSW Spelling Bee competition. One student from each stage (stage 2 and 3) are then selected to compete against other schools.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
Incursions and Excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
NAIDOC Week
A week dedicated to celebrating the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Students take part in activities that promote understanding, respect, and connection to First Nations communities.
Riverina and Campaspe Sport
Students have additional sporting activities linked to the Campaspe sporting schedule. This provides students opportunities to further extend their fine and gross motor skills, teamwork and game knowledge.
Book Week
A week-long celebration of literature that encourages a love of reading. Students enjoy book-related activities and dress up as their favourite characters for the Book Week parade.
Easter Hat Parade
A fun and creative celebration where students design and wear colourful Easter-themed hats. Families are invited to watch as classes parade their creations.
Footy Colours Day
Students and staff wear their favourite team’s colours to celebrate the excitement of the footy season. It’s a fun day that brings the school together and is accompanied by some fun activities.
Anzac Day and Remembrance Day
These commemorations honour the service and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand defence personnel. Students participate in respectful ceremonies, learning the significance of remembrance and gratitude. In the past, school leaders or the whole school have attended the local Moama services also.
Kinder - 100 Days of School
We love to celebrate this milestone when our Kindergarten students have reached 100 days of school. Students are invited to dress up in a costume of who they'd like to be when they grow up and staff organise a day of fun and educational activities centred around the number 100.
Colour Run
A super fun event for students and families that usually occurs on the last day of a term.
Mothers Day and Fathers Day celebrations
Parents and carers (including uncles, aunties, grandparents and other special family members) are invited to a morning tea or BBQ close to Mothers Day and Fathers Day.
